Still on this Warrior (Cinemax) train! Season two is finishing so strongly that I’d be pretty bummed if they don’t get moved to HBO for S3.

#slashtag I just finished Industry Season 1. I'm conflicted about this one. On one hand, memorable characters. On the other hand, this is not how things are on a Trading Floor/bank. I do not like the dialogue at all - many unclear lines, scenes, moments.
If anyone from @slashfilmcast sees this #slashtag tweet: check out Wicked City (1987), for something a bit different. The trailers reveal too much, but it's an adult horror anime. Has some nice 80s synth and pop music, but doesn't feel so old. I don't know about streaming. pic.twitter.com/UM17BO0hBN
It goes without saying but the new Animaniacs is absolutely fantastic. I have things to do today but am seriously thinking of just binge watching this show today #slashtag
Just catching up on @slashfilmcast and How To with John Wilson, was brought up by @davechensky but @Devindra didn’t seem too excited by the show. The episode to watch - How to Cover Your Furniture - episode 4. Brilliant. I was crying with laughter #slashtag
@Azzano00@slashfilmcast@davechensky@Devindra Was just gonna mention this! The final episode (6) that just came out is awesome, reckoning with the modern times in such a heartfelt way! Can't wait to hear you guys talk about it. #slashtag
I gave Marvel 616 on Disney+ a try. First ep was about the Japanese Spider-Man tv show. I didn’t know much about it outside of seeing clips. Cool piece of comic history and I have to admit I got a bit teary at the end. @jeffcannata this would very much be your jam. #slashtag
@davechensky@Devindra@jeffcannata A while back on the podcast one of you discussed the Amazon remake of Utopia. I feel like someone said they had not seen the original Utopia or hadn't seen it in a while. Whatever the case, the original series is on Prime Video #SlashTag
#slashtag guys i know this sounds like crazy talk... but the new Saved By The Bell is legit a great follow up to the original. Super self-aware tone with a 30 Rock/Parks vibe. Silliness with heart and is legit funny. Caught me by suprise, I think it will do the same for ya'll
TIME was one of the best films I saw this year. Director Garrett Bradley did incredible work compiling some 100 hours of home movie footage into a story of incarceration, injustice, and love. A different subject but I was reminded of the also good Tarnation from 2003. #slashtagtwitter.com/thedreaclark/s…
I can't recommend TIME the doc enough, available for free this weekend. As we are sharing the pain many of us feel to not be able to be with our families this year, realizing the Richardson family has now lost out on 20 years of Thanksgivings together registers more acutely. twitter.com/TheFilmStage/s…
@jeffcannata Have you checked out "The Goes Wrong Show" on Prime? Each episode is a one act play with a live audience where things continue to go wrong in progressively brilliant ways. 30 minutes, lots of laughs, seems right up your alley. Enjoy. :) #slashtag
Secrets of the Saqqara Tomb on Netflix ticks all the boxes that the archaeologist you thought you’d be as a child would want it to! Fascinating documentary that shows the process of discovery that helps to paints the picture of what happened thousands of years ago #slashtag
Want a GREAT Sunday break from the election news? The chance to expand your mind? Check out HUMAN NATURE on Netflix. (Ok, it's our documentary, but I'm really proud of it). It's about the science revolution known as #CRISPR, which got this year's Nobel Prize!!! #HumanNatureFilm
Weekend watching. Bird Boy: The Forgotten Children. A Spanish animated film on Kanopy. Free if you have a library card. Cute animal characters struggle over resources on a post apocalypse island. Grim dark, whimsical, and surreal. #slashtagpic.twitter.com/c3S4BOLXKC
Baby Done (2020). New Zealand film with a great cast! Taika Waititi is one of the producers. If you can find a way to watch it, do yourself a favour!! #slashtag
#slashtag watch the movie (not the show) "Run" on Hulu. It's the follow up thriller from the director of searching. A taut and tense thriller about a very smart person thinking their way out of a difficult situation. @jeffcannata
The Liberator. A 4-part WW2 series that uses a rotoscope-like form of animation. It's its own thing of course, but you can file it alongside Band of Brothers. #slashtagyoutube.com/watch?v=vZaIZg…
Watched Mangrove, the 1st Small Axe film today. Based on a West Indian restaurant in 60’s England that became a target of racism and a center of organizing and protest. Beautiful, joyous, angry, and relevant. Deserves a big screen. #slashtag
@jeffcannata@Devindra@davechensky devindra how dare you call the crown a “nap” movie!! Off with his head!!!
I tell you what won’t make you nap!! Line of duty #slashtag 🇬🇧🇺🇸
Industry, a new HBO show featuring young graduates doing whatever it takes to make it in the premiere financial firm of London. I’m curious if any #slashtag viewers find this corporate environment realistic? It certainly feels like it could be true.
@jeffcannata for something a little different may I suggest Somewhere In Time (1980). It’s a date night movie with Jane Seymour, two of the OG Chrises (Reeves and Plummer), and a bit of a sci-fi twist. #slashtag
Just watch the trailer for Bushwick on Netflix and tell me this doesn’t speak to your anxieties about the threat of impending political violence #slashtag
