Watched Mangrove, the 1st Small Axe film today. Based on a West Indian restaurant in 60’s England that became a target of racism and a center of organizing and protest. Beautiful, joyous, angry, and relevant. Deserves a big screen. #slashtag
@jeffcannata@Devindra@davechensky devindra how dare you call the crown a “nap” movie!! Off with his head!!!
I tell you what won’t make you nap!! Line of duty #slashtag 🇬🇧🇺🇸
Industry, a new HBO show featuring young graduates doing whatever it takes to make it in the premiere financial firm of London. I’m curious if any #slashtag viewers find this corporate environment realistic? It certainly feels like it could be true.
@jeffcannata for something a little different may I suggest Somewhere In Time (1980). It’s a date night movie with Jane Seymour, two of the OG Chrises (Reeves and Plummer), and a bit of a sci-fi twist. #slashtag
Just watch the trailer for Bushwick on Netflix and tell me this doesn’t speak to your anxieties about the threat of impending political violence #slashtag
@Devindra@davechensky@jeffcannata Have you guys watched The Good Lord Bird on Prime? I don’t think I’ve heard it mentioned but I could have missed it. It’s a pretty wild ride. #slashtag
#slashtag Over The Moon might not be special to everyone, but watching it with my nephew has hit me hard. It even made my tear up multiple times. It’s a wonderful movie to watch with children. I loved it, but it seems underwatched.
@Devindra@jeffcannata@davechensky If you want to see how far we’ve slid as a society, where we could be once again, and also a glimmer of how we slid to where we are, I would recommend you re-watch the brilliant movie Contact. #slashtag
Unpregnant (2020) - I'm shocked how grossly overlooked this film has been. It holds its own with Edge of 17, Booksmart, Ladybird and Eighth Grade in contemporary teen comedies. Especially moving with the passing of RBG.

@davechensky@jeffcannata@Devindra I don’t know if you guys mentioned it on the podcast but Memories of Murder is now available to stream/rent for $4. First time I’ve seen it anywhere online #slashtag
Who's running the hashtagslashtag.com site? Is it open-source? Suggestion: add color tags for Netflix, Prime, etc. so people can quickly figure out what they can watch for free! #slashtag
Recommending to all. A beautiful and moving doc that easily takes its place among the best things I’ve seen in 2020. Similar to the excellent Dick Johnson Is Dead. Available on PBS and other VOD platforms. #slashtagtwitter.com/timemachinefil…
#slashtag Somehow I missed the 1995 Aaron Sorkin film, The American President. I smiled all the way through this film. Then I went to my gfs house to watch it w her. Caught her smiling all the way through again. The film could be made today and it would be the same script.
#slashtag The Decline on Netflix. Also want to plug the movie Black Bear 2020 again since in your latest after dark segment you talked about Possessor and your love for Christopher Abbot! I too love this actor and just about everything he is in, Girls, It Comes At Night... pic.twitter.com/wwKFXNtCcZ
#slashtag The Bureau. French TV series about the DGSE (French CIA). 10/10. Knowing your tastes I can't recommend this enough. pic.twitter.com/iR9K9wSEeb
#slashtag Documentary " Fireball" by Werner Herzog sounds fascinating but too bad it's on Apple TV. Any chance of watching it and reporting it in the What We've Been Watching segment? @jeffcannata
Hey @slashfilmcast check out some of the amazing genre offerings from @AnomalyFilmFest streaming this weekend! You might like Legend of Baron To’a, I Blame Society, and The Last Blockbuster. #slashtag
Give UTOPIA a watch, I’d love to hear your thoughts. There are a lot of bold moves and fun moments but I feel like it breaks some fundamental, moral rules of storytelling that really bother me. I feel like it crosses lines that I didn’t know I had. #slashtag
@slashfilmcast@jeffcannata@Devindra@davechensky#slashtag There is just one episode of The Twilight Zone (1959) I would really like you guys to check out. It’s the basis of my profile’s banner image since 2016. It’s called He’s Alive and it stars a young Dennis Hopper.

#slashtag@davechensky@jeffcannata@TaraAriano I hope @Devindra will talk about Gangs of London again b/c I felt it collapsed by season’s end. Warrior is a much more consistent and better show. When it shows up on HBO Max, hopefully it will find the larger audience it deserves.
#slashtag In & Of Itself is a magic show about identity. It is a unique, amazing experience. Directed by Frank Oz. Recommended to all. Streaming now for $12 or on Hulu in January. tickets.ifccenter.com/websales/pages…
A great Netflix original made for kids (Note: It can be scary if they are sensitive to that). The Hollow is a fun show. My 4-year-old (who loves spooky) had me turn it on...I insisted on us continuing. We both enjoy it. #slashtag
#slashtag@jowrotethis just tweeted that Breaking Away is her favourite sports movie -- mine too! About high school grads who don't know what to do with their lives. Best Screenplay 1979. Also has the best use of The Barber of Seville in a musical score since Bugs Bunny... pic.twitter.com/R7a7LPsZd4
